Breeze Through The Sky, Business Class Style

Business class tickets, first class tickets or economy that is the question. I say business class all the way. Not only is it the most ideal way to travel the endless skies, but the perks on the ground are pretty awesome as well.

I’ve frequently flown to Bahrain in business class and I have loved the experience every single time. Our business class tickets were sponsored by the company my father worked for in Bahrain. Every summer we used to fly to Bahrain and spend three glorious months there. Gulf airlines always did justice to business class ticket holders. Traveling back and forth was always a breeze.

One of my favorite memories is meeting one of my favorite Asian music band in the business class lounge. If you think a first class lounge is something to talk about, well just imagine what a business class lounge looks like. The Arabs know how to make an impression that’s for sure. There was a video game room and a room with big white sofas and floor cushions with waiters going back and forth. There was an elaborate buffet table on the side and a bar that looked tempting. Oh, it was the only way to travel in those days my friend. The duty free at the Bahrain airport was useless, but the business class was well worth spending hours in.

So, yes I met my favorite Asian band in video game section. Where else would you find a couple of guys killing time? It took me well over half an hour to gather enough courage to ask for an autograph and picture. I still treasure the blurry pictures and the autographs. I hoped they were traveling in Gulf airlines with us, but sadly they only had a stopover in Bahrain, and were on another airline. I know; sad, right? It would have been so much fun ogling at them from my seat for three hours.

That was one of the most relaxing flights that I ever took. It started out badly though, because the flight got delayed for over two hours. When we got on the plane it was all worth it. Our plane took off at 2am and we had the best possible seats. There was one seat per row, and they reclined in to beds. No joke!

After munching on peanuts and sipping on orange juice, I just curled up and went to sleep for most of the flight. When I woke up I found that stewardess had covered me with a blanket. Last half hour was spent reading under the light of the little lamp attached to the side of my seat. The experience itself is luxurious and well worth the money.

Having just started out my own business, I am envisioning a day when I only travel business class. I’ll make a jump from economy straight to business class and ignore the firstclass tickets. Always aim for the sky, especially when you’re cruising it.
